We have one (1) opening for a a Park/Landscaper/Maintenance Worker.

Park/Landscaper/Maintenance Worker I This is the entry-level class in the Park/Landscaper/Maintenance classification series. Since this class is typically used as a training class, employees may have only limited or no directly related work experience. Initially under close supervision, incumbents will perform basic construction, landscape, maintenance, and repair work using tools and equipment. As experience is gained, assignments become more varied and are performed with greater independence. This position exercises no supervision of staff.
Park/Landscaper/Maintenance Worker II This is the full journey-level class in the Park/Landscaper/ Maintenance classification series that performs the full range of duties required to ensure that Town assets and facilities to which assigned, are maintained in a safe and effective working condition and provide the highest level of safety for public use. Responsibilities include inspecting and attending to assigned areas in a timely manner and performing a wide variety of tasks in the maintenance and repair of parks, landscape areas, and buildings. The employee is fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the department. The work performed is normally reviewed only on completion and for overall results. Advancement to the “II” level is based on management judgment and/or certification or testing that validates the performance of the full range of job duties.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
WORKING CONDITIONS Applicants must be able to perform heavy manual labor, work outdoors in all types of weather conditions with possible loud noise levels and exposure to hazardous traffic conditions. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and have the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend over, and crawl for extended periods in the performance of job duties for this position. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
The Park/Landscaper/Maintenance Worker position is a FLSA Non-Exempt position. Candidate will be placed within the pay range based on qualifications and experience.
