The Town of Discovery Bay is currently seeking American Red Cross lifeguards and swim instructors, who are at least 16 years old, to work at the community center pool for the 2024 summer aquatic season. 

The positions are part-time and seasonal, and the hourly wages for swim instructors and lifeguards will range from $17.00 to $19.00. The aquatic season runs May through September. Applicants must be willing to work weekends, evening hours and holidays in addition to regular hours to fulfill their job and training duties. Current American Red Cross (ARC) lifeguard and CPR and first-aide certification are required. 

The Town of Discovery Bay will be offering blended ARC lifeguard-training courses on April 6th-7th, at the Discovery Bay Community Center. However, successful completion does not guarantee employment. Please see related link here.
