The Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta is comprised of over 1,200 miles of waterways that attract numerous forms of water recreation including boating, fishing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, jet skiing and more. Unfortunately though, the Delta also “represents one of the state’s highest-accident areas” due to the popularity of the area.
There are numerous online resources and printed materials developed to educate recreational boaters. There are also local boater safety courses you may want to consider.
